Position: Agile Coach/Scrum Master

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Tenure: Contract (4-5 months)

Position Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Agile Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of coaching and mentoring teams in the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies. As the Agile Coach, you will play a critical role in the success of our organization by working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to identify areas of improvement, establish best practices, and drive the adoption of Agile principles throughout the organization.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide basic education and coaching to several Information Security teams on Agile
    methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Daily Stand-ups
  • Work with leadership to establish and maintain an Agile framework, artifacts and governance model
  • Identify and remove obstacles that impede the team’s ability to deliver value
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members on Agile principles and practices
  • Monitor and report on team performance and progress using metrics such as Velocity, Sprint burndown, and other key performance indicators
  • Facilitate Agile adoption for new teams and assist in the transition of existing teams to an Agile environment
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the Agile process aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives

Must Haves:

  • 7+ years of experience working as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience of multiple Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and others
  • Proven track record of coaching and mentoring teams in the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or relevant work experience
  • Professional certification in Agile such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA) or similar is an asset
