Position Title: Junior Product Owner

Tenure: Full Time, Permanent

Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a Junior Product Owner to take a leap in their career. As the Junior Product Owner, you will ensure the agile development teams have clearly defined requirements for their deliverables. The successful hire will also assist in providing the vision and direction to the agile development team and stakeholders by drafting, planning, prioritizing, and clarifying the product backlog under the guidance of more experienced product professionals.

What will you be doing?

  • Seek relevant information from business and technical stakeholders
  • Work alongside Senior Product Owners to define requirements using Agile principles and breakdown requirements into accurate/complete user stories
  • Maintain a well-groomed product backlog of enhancements and resolutions
  • Work with Product Designers on the wireframe/prototype creation process
  • Attend and effectively participate in all scrum ceremonies
  • Interact continuously with development and QA to guide product design
  • Assist in setting up key functionality and configurations during the Pre-Sales process

Must Haves:

  • Experience working on complex software projects and creating detailed business cases
  • Working knowledge of Agile process and principle
  • Software development experience and Azure DevOps are an asset
  • Creative thinker with the ability to devise solutions that meet customer needs
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable with both high-level planning and tactical execution
  • Motivated to rapidly learn from mentors and challenge themselves to develop quickly
  • Excellent at presenting and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make good decisions
  • Ability to handle criticisms and justify decisions effectively and comfortably at all levels
